Workshop Pengenalan Artificial Intelligence untuk Meningkatkan Wawasan Karier Teknologi Informasi Siswa SMA Yadika 11 Jatirangga

Abstract

The rapid development of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and digital technologies in the era of digital transformation requires young generations to possess adequate digital literacy and an understanding of educational and career opportunities in the field of Information Technology. However, the use of digital technology among high school students is still largely oriented toward consumptive activities and is often not accompanied by sufficient understanding of AI concepts and their practical applications. This community service program aimed to provide insights into Artificial Intelligence and Information Technology career opportunities for students of SMA Yadika 11 Jatirangga. The program was conducted through an interactive workshop consisting of presentations, demonstrations of ChatGPT as a generative AI application, discussions, and question-and-answer sessions. The evaluation was carried out using a five-item Likert-scale questionnaire distributed after the workshop. The activity involved 100 participants, with 10 participants completing the evaluation questionnaire. The evaluation results showed that 88% of the responses were categorized as agree and strongly agree regarding the workshop materials and implementation, indicating a positive response from the participants. However, the evaluation results were limited to participants' perceptions and could not be used to quantitatively measure knowledge improvement, as the program did not employ pre-test and post-test assessments.
