About the Journal

Journal of Society, Community, and Organization Development is a peer-reviewed, open-access journal published four times a year. The journal serves as a dynamic academic forum for lecturers, researchers, practitioners, and community advocates to share innovative strategies, empirical insights, and transformative outcomes of community service and organizational capacity building.
Recognizing that modern societal challenges cannot be solved through a single lens, Journal of Society, Community, and Organization Development adopts a highly inclusive and multidisciplinary approach. The journal purposefully connects frontline technological innovations, including Artificial Intelligence (AI), Digital Literacy, and Computational Thinking (CT), with fundamental social, humanistic, and economic interventions. Our mission is to foster inclusive growth, resilient institutions, and sustainable community empowerment across all sectors of society.

Focus and Scope

Journal of Society, Community, and Organization Development welcomes high-quality submissions, field reviews, and case studies encompassing a wide array of disciplines. The journal’s core thematic areas include, but are not limited to:
  • Digital Literacy & Technological Transformation: Community and school-based programs focused on Artificial Intelligence (AI) literacy, Digital Skills development, Computational Thinking (CT) in education, data privacy awareness, and combating technology-based misinformation or fraud.
  • MSME (UMKM) & Economic Empowerment: Business mentoring, digital transformation for local enterprises, financial literacy, sustainable marketing strategies, creative economy initiatives, and entrepreneurship training.
  • Educational Training & School Partnerships: STEM/STEAM instructional development, capacity-building workshops for educators and students, community-based non-formal education, and innovative learning media applications.
  • Social, Cultural, & Humanistic Advancements: Community development programs rooted in social sciences, public policy advocacy, legal literacy, cultural preservation, and the application of local wisdom to community issues.
  • Health, Environment, & Public Governance: Public health education, sanitation and environmental sustainability initiatives, disaster mitigation training, and institutional capacity building for grass-roots organizations (such as village administrations, NGOs, and women's/youth community groups.

Peer Review Process

Every submitted manuscript undergoes a blind peer review process by competent reviewers in their fields. This process aims to ensure the quality, validity, and scientific contribution of each published article.

Publication Frequency

Journal of Society, Community, and Organization Development is published quarterly four times a year, in February, May, August, and November. This frequency aims to ensure continuity of publication and provide authors with greater opportunities to disseminate research results in a timely manner.
